Cecil Freeman B.E.S., M.Sc. ECON, MCIP(ret)
Cecil has 40 years of experience in all aspects of land and property development. His work experience has included being a professional planner, developer, builder, property manager and professor of economics. Cecils diverse experience has included small to large multipurpose projects involving government and private interests. His land experience includes the use of private and crown land including the development of mineral rights. His international experience includes Hawaii, where he is the property manager and owner of an Executive Level vacation rental in Maui.
Cecil obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, both in Planning Studies. His education combined with his experience and negotiation skills have resulted in a long record of success throughout his careers.
As Assistant Deputy Minister in several departments, Cecil is very experienced in the workings of governments at all levels. During this time he was sought after as a problem solver.
Cecils involvement as Chairman of the Trans Canada Trail Foundation, President of Kiwanis, Campaign Chair of the United Way, among others, shows his strong commitment to giving back to the community. His strength is bringing people together to achieve mutual goals.
